For the time (1959) it was a good horror movie without all the blood and gore and no in-bed. It’s a favorite to watch from time to time or have as background sound - a classic that holds up. The film has a decent enough cast and director William Malone crafts a chilling, gory ride with this remake. We’ve had House on Haunted Hill on DVD for a long while, but when Amazon had it for a good price streaming we decided to grab it.
